JohnBergt
Hello all I have a need to run the attached script on a workstation running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard in a virtual environment, which is accessed via remote Desktop. This script is set up to run every five minutes via windows scheduled tasks. The machine running the app is logged in as a windows user, running on a remote desk top session. However, the session will usually not be connected to (i.e. from a nother computer) however, the user does not get logged out due to inactivity or because someone closes the remote desktop session. The purpose of the script is to open an application, select specific data, save that data to a nework location, and then close the application. When I run the script by double clicking on it, everything works correctly. When the script is executed by the scheduled task, it fails, because the application does not become active, and therefore the rest of the script fails. Also, if the remote desktop session is not open, it seems like the script fails as well. I would like help in setting the script up to acomplish the items above, once I can get that working, then I will do additional mods to the script. The script text is below, for some reason, I can't attach the script. #cs ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- AutoIt Version: 3.3.8.1 Author: myName Script Function: Template AutoIt script. #ce ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ; Script Start - Add your code below here ;this section starts the app, enters the password, and clicks on the "log in" button run ("program.exe additional parameters") WinActivate ("Program Window Name") WinWaitActive("Program Window Name") Sleep(1000) Send("{P}") Send("{A}") Send("{S}") Send("{S}") Send("{W}") Send("{O}") Send("{R}") Send("{D}") Sleep(1000) ControlClick ("Program Window Name", "", "Button1") WinWaitActive("Program Window Name (ABC)") Sleep(6000) ;click "DMI" button Opt("MouseCoordMode", 0) MouseMove(760, 70, 0) MouseClick("left") Sleep(2000) ;click "File" menu Opt("MouseCoordMode", 0) MouseMove(20, 40, 0) MouseClick("left") Sleep(500) ;click "Save Grids as..." BrewManNH
See this Wiki FAQ about how to handle this. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
