Scite Maximize and minimyze buttons gone from top right corner...

Recommended Posts

I must have pressed a shortcut combination but now the only way to close Scite is Ctrl+Alt+Delete!....

I uninstalled and reinstalled, cleaned registry, once opened can't be closed!

Looked at the menus but can't find a "reset" or the option to bring it back to default view.

Thanks

Open SciTE and hit F11, that takes it out of full screen mode.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Well that realy looks like some strange F11

Are you sure you run the script with F5 from scite? cuz it's untitled* from your picture, and untitled* things can't be ruined from scite until you run them from saved document?

try renaming the Sciteuser.properties file and restarting SciTE, there might be a setting in it that is causing this.

xuso,

I think your SciTE GUI has become too wide for the display. ;)

Open the "SciTEuser.properties" file via the <Options - Open User Options> menu and look for these lines:

position.width=####
position.height=####

If they exist, change them to reasonable values and see if that cures it. :)

Tried renaming didn't work

This is what is in my User Options:

import au3.UserUdfs
import au3.keywords.user.abbreviations

Well File >> exit works

But still I can't resize or minimyze the window...

I tried reinstalling and cleaning registry with CC cleaner but it still came back the same.

How could I completely uninstall and start over?

xuzo,

This is what is in my User Options

Then try adding these lines to the file:

position.left=10
position.top=10
position.width=400
position.height=400

and see if that does the trick. ;)

Ok I got it figured out, seems like it maximized beyond my 23 inch monitor for some reason, it was maximized at like 24 inch or so...

I hid the taskbar on the bottom and dragged it, then was able to minimize.

Thanks to all for trying!

I have AutoHotkey and Texter installed for productivity macros, I'd better shut them off before using Scite, maybe some keyboard shortcuts combinations caused it to maximize to that size? Some kind of conflict I think
