8218
Hey, I am very new to AutoIT Scripting language. I want to create a GUI with only labels, (no buttons, no inputboxes, no Guigetmsg(), thus it doesn't have to return any keybindings or work with any variables. I just want it to show labels as a side-window to another window. How do I do this?
BrewManNH
I'm not understanding what the problem you're asking about is. Can you be more specific as to what it is you want to do? If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted July 18, 2012 Moderators Share Posted July 18, 2012 8218, it sounds as though you want a window to sit next to your main GUI, with only Labels so you can display text? If that is the case, why not just extend the size of your main GUI and add the labels in there? "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind. 8218
The problem is I'm having a while loop running and I want a GUI running while my while 1 loop repeats the tasks
JohnOne
If you are not doing anything with the gui except updating it's labels, then it certainly does not need its own while loop. Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted July 18, 2012 Moderators Share Posted July 18, 2012 (edited) If you're doing a while loop that has nothing to do with the GUI, create one script with your GUI in it, and then use FileInstall to include it in your main script. Call the GUI executable from your main script, and then shut it down when you no longer need it. Edited July 18, 2012 by JLogan3o13 "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind.
