How to get the Username

Recommended Posts

Hello;

For one of my scripts, I need to get the first and last name of the user

I work on a domain and I need to get the information that appear into the Start menu

If ma first and last name are:Julien Dupont, my login is jdupont

The $var @UserName is jdupont.

but I don't need that, I need Julien Dupont.

How can I do that ?

Thanks

Hello;

Thanks for your answer but I can't use this one.

Those UDF ask to start with _AD_OPEN but for that it's necessary to give some information like userid and password.

I can't give mine into a script that I will give to other people and I can't ask to every people to enter them every time that they need to use my script.

#Include <AD.au3>
_AD_Open([$sAD_UserIdParam = "", $sAD_PasswordParam = ""[, $sAD_DNSDomainParam = "", $sAD_HostServerParam = "", $sAD_ConfigurationParam = ""[, $iAD_Security = 0]]])

I've found this one to: but it's very very long to have the answer and if it's possible I ould like to have the same thing but mmediatly.

There are no way to have this information into windows ?

If Windows doesn't have the full username information then just how do you think anything can get it for you?

Build an SQLite database that contains both @USERNAME and the users full name then check that.

_AD_Open doesn't require any of the log in information, it's ALL optional. If you just use _AD_Open() with no parameters it should work.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.
