ashleylewisms
Hi All,I'm having a big problem at the moment with running AutoIT to automate a logon process whereby it will sign me in to multiple PC's all with the same account. Attached is my script, and I have even tried other accounts but when I run the batch file (psexec.exe @ITsuites.txt -c -f (pclogon.exe) the command prompt window states unknown username or bad password, despite the fact that I have triple checked the details and even tried a few other accounts...Have I done something silly???I have been trying to follow the instructions from here:http://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/show/2568myscript.txt

ashleylewisms
Sorry, perhaps that was the poorest choice of words. I am wanting to get AutoIT to save my username and password to log into 100+ machines for me, instead of doing it myself 1 by 1. Is this allowed with the software? there's a whole guide on spiceworks, but as for the link you sent me about rules, thanks, I had a good read through and apologize if my question is out of bounds for the software etc.
Moderators Melba23 Posted August 6, 2012 Moderators Share Posted August 6, 2012 ashleylewisms,It is not "out of bounds" for the software - you can do what you like with it - but it might be "off limits" for discussion on the forum. I will let you know when we have come to a decision. Until then I am locking the thread - my apologies in advance if I am being over-cautious. Valik
This is fine. This is enabling a built-in Windows feature that requires administrative rights to enable.Anyway, this question isn't really AutoIt related. It's about getting psexec to work right which can be annoying and tricky on Vista and later. Otherwise this seems a simple two step process to debug.Does the script work testing it on a local machine?Does psexec work with anything else? If yes, are you positive it's run as the correct user and that the user has the correct access rights?
ashleylewisms
I'm not able to test it on a local machine as it's designed to login to approx 100 PC's from the CTRL+ALT+DEL screen over my network. As for PSEXEC, How would I go about checking the access rights? I've used PSEXEC for other uses in the past such as Wake-On-Lan and that seems OK...Then again that's not exactly "in windows"
