kvex
Hi all, I am trying to make a script for which the background picture is changed as a function of the input. Unfortunately, the comboboxes used to determine the input get hidden behind the updated 'background' picture (until the mouse is hovered over them). Here is a snippet which reproduces the error: #include <EditConstants.au3> #include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> #include <StaticConstants.au3> #include <WindowsConstants.au3> $GUI = GUICreate("Test", 400, 400) $Color = GUICtrlCreateCombo("", 50, 100, 100, 100); GUICtrlSetData(-1, "Blue|Green|Red","Blue"); $Dummy = GUICtrlCreateCombo("", 200, 100, 100, 100); GUICtrlSetData(-1, "Dummy1|Dummy2|Dummy3","Dummy1"); $Background = GUICtrlCreatePic("Blue.bmp", 0, 0, 400, 400); GUISetState() While 1 $nMsg = GUIGetMsg() Switch $nMsg Case $Color If GUICtrlRead($Color) = "Blue" Then GUICtrlSetImage($Background,"Blue.bmp"); ElseIf GUICtrlRead($Color) = "Green" Then GUICtrlSetImage($Background,"Green.bmp"); ElseIf GUICtrlRead($Color) = "Red" Then GUICtrlSetImage($Background,"Red.bmp"); EndIf Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Exit EndSwitch WEnd where Blue.bmp, Green.bmp and Red.bmp are simple 400x400 bitmaps of the corresponding colors. Does anybody know how to get rid of this issue? Edited August 14, 2012 by kvex
BrewManNH
From the help file for GUICtrlCreatePic:If a picture is set as a background picture, as the other controls will overlap, it's important to disable the pic control and create it after the others controls: GuiCtrlSetState(-1,$GUI_DISABLE). If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. kvex
Thanks for the fast reply! I had been playing around with the order and $GUI_DISABLE (as well as $GUI_ONTOP) already, but it does not get rid of the issue. The following snippet still gives the same problem: #include <EditConstants.au3> #include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> #include <StaticConstants.au3> #include <WindowsConstants.au3> $GUI = GUICreate("Test", 400, 400) $Color = GUICtrlCreateCombo("", 50, 100, 100, 100); GUICtrlSetData(-1, "Blue|Green|Red", "Blue"); $Dummy = GUICtrlCreateCombo("", 200, 100, 100, 100); GUICtrlSetData(-1, "Dummy1|Dummy2|Dummy3", "Dummy1"); $Background = GUICtrlCreatePic("Blue.bmp", 0, 0, 400, 400); GUICtrlSetState(-1, $GUI_DISABLE) GUISetState() While 1 $nMsg = GUIGetMsg() Switch $nMsg Case $Color If GUICtrlRead($Color) = "Blue" Then GUICtrlSetImage($Background, "Blue.bmp"); ElseIf GUICtrlRead($Color) = "Green" Then GUICtrlSetImage($Background, "Green.bmp"); ElseIf GUICtrlRead($Color) = "Red" Then GUICtrlSetImage($Background, "Red.bmp"); EndIf Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Exit EndSwitch WEnd Any idea what I'm doing wrong? BrewManNH
I moved these lines: $Background = GUICtrlCreatePic("0BOT.bmp", 0, 0, 400, 400); GUICtrlSetState(-1, $GUI_DISABLE) just after the GUICreate line, instead of having it at the end of control creation lines and it worked better, still needed the GUI_DISABLE line, but worked when it was created before the other controls.
