Insert a string instead exist string

Recommended Posts

Hello Adi,

there's for sure some kind of RegularExpression for this kind of issue, but you could use StringInString to find the 3rd and fourth occurance of the quote sign. Then you can easily split the string there and insert your string.

atzoref,

You need a RegEx: ;)

$sString = '<Param Key="LastOpenedProject" Value="?????" />'

$sNewInsert = "NewInsert"

$sNewString = StringRegExpReplace($sString, "(.*Value=)(.*)(s/>)", "$1" & $sNewInsert & "$3")

ConsoleWrite($sNewString & @CRLF)

Explanation:

(.*Value=) = Capture all up to and including "Value=" - this is stored as Group 1
(.*)       = Capture all up to the next group         - this is stored as Group 2
(s/>)    = And then cappture the final group " >"  - this is stored as Group 3

"$1" & $sNewInsert & "$3" = Replace what we read in by Group 1 + the new text + Group 3

All clear? :)
