Basically I have label control on top of a label control

The reason I have that is I am using the bottom label as a dummy for coloring purposes

i put the set tip on the label that is on "top", the dummy is disable.. but the tip will not appear

any suggestions ?

$main = GUICreate("Test GUI",250,250)
  $a = GUICtrlCreateLabel("",0,0,250,200)
  GUICtrlSetBkColor(-1,0xa23411)
  GUICtrlSetState(-1,@SW_DISABLE)
  $b = GUICtrlCreateLabel("hover your mouse over me", 20,20,150,25);,-1,0x00000008)
GUICtrlSetTip(-1,"test to see if tooltip works on child window")
  $c = GUICtrlCreateButton("test button",50,50)
GUICtrlSetTip(-1,"test to see if tooltip works on child window")
  GUICtrlCreateLabel("hover your mouse over me",20,220)
GUICtrlSetTip(-1,"test to see if tooltip works on child window")
GUISetState (@SW_SHOW)

While 1
If GUIGetMsg() = -3 Then Exit

Change the @SW_DISABLE to $GUI_DISABLE and add #include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> to the top of the script.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Back up and restore Windows user files _Array.au3 - Modified array functions that include support for 2D arrays.  -  ColorChooser - An add-on for SciTE that pops up a color dialog so you can select and paste a color code into a script.  -  Customizable Splashscreen GUI w/Progress Bar - Create a custom "splash screen" GUI with a progress bar and custom label.  -  _FileGetProperty - Retrieve the properties of a file  -  SciTE Toolbar - A toolbar demo for use with the SciTE editor  -  GUIRegisterMsg demo - Demo script to show how to use the Windows messages to interact with controls and your GUI.  -   Latin Square password generator

I always forget the @SW_* macros are only used for WinSetState and GUISetState and that the variables are used for GUICtrlSetState.
