get time problem witch _ExcelReadCell

I have a problem with the command "_ExcelReadCell"

If it tries to read cell with time xx:xx.

For example: 23:56

So it gives me a long, strange number.

It does not return 23:56. It takes something like this:

0.9972222222222

I do not remember exactly but this is the crazy style.

I realized that this happens because the letter ":" ..

What to do?

Did you look at _ExcelNumberFormat? Or search the forum? As I've seen this being discussed before.

Excel stores time as a day fraction from 0 to 1, integers are days since 1.1.1900 if I remember correct.

0.5 thus is 12:00 noon.

You can read formatted value as an alternative.

I am just a hobby programmer, and nothing great to publish right now.
