CountyIT Posted September 15, 2012 Share Posted September 15, 2012 (edited) The one has almost killed me. I have a program that when I use WinActivate it seems to break both _BlockInputEx and MouseTrap but doesn't really kill them. It is like a slow bleed. The mouse will work and the keyboard will work but very, very, very slowly. This is really stripped down for help purposes . What I am trying to do is (based on a number which changes in this loop) force a notepad document to the forefront even if a window like TaskManager is present with it's SetOnTop attribute set. The BlockInputEx and MouseTrap stay in effect until the notepad document test.txt is opened. It does force test.txt to the foreground but at that pound the Mouse and keyboard "bleed". I am desperate for some help! Here is the code: #include <blockinputex.au3> #include <constants.au3> #include <winapi.au3> Global $LenSpeedCursor = 18 Global $LastNumber = 0 Global $SpeedCursor = "Current number is " Global $Debug = False Global $ShowSpeed = "Yes" Global $NumberLimit = 25 Global $ClearOnTop = "Yes" Global $HerbieError = True Global $CurrentNumber = 0 Global $FixedWindow = "Test.txt - Notepad" HotKeySet("{ESC}", "Quit") $CurrentNumber = 99 While 1 If $ShowSpeed = "Yes" Then ToolTip($SpeedCursor & $CurrentNumber) EndIf Select Case ($LastNumber <= $NumberLimit) And ($CurrentNumber > $NumberLimit) ; Number went from under limit to over limit $LocalResult = _BlockInputEx(1, "{ESC}") ; block everything except esc If $LocalResult = 0 Then ConsoleWrite("BlockInput failed" & @CR) EndIf $LocalResult = _MouseTrap(@DesktopWidth - 200, 10, @DesktopWidth - 199, 11); Move mouse out of way If $LocalResult = 0 Then ConsoleWrite("Error setting MouseTrap" & @CR) EndIf TraySetState(4) ; Flash Case ($LastNumber > $NumberLimit) and ($CurrentNumber > $NumberLimit) ; Number continues to be above limit CheckWindowPriorities() EndSelect $LastNumber = $CurrentNumber Sleep(1000) WEnd Func Quit() _BlockInputEx(0) _MouseTrap() Exit EndFunc Func CheckWindowPriorities() Local $Result TurnOffOnTop() $Result = WinActivate($FixedWindow, "") ConsoleWrite("Attempt to activate " & $FixedWindow & " was " & $Result & @CR) EndFunc Func TurnOffOnTop() Local $Index, $Result, $WindowList, $iExStyles = 0, $Candidate $WindowList = WinList() For $Index = 1 to $WindowList[0][0] ;ConsoleWrite($WindowList[$Index][0] & @CR) $iExStyles = _WinAPI_GetWindowLong($WindowList[$Index][1],$GWL_EXSTYLE) $Candidate = ($WindowList[$Index][0] <> "") And (IsWindowVisible($WindowList[$Index][1])) $Candidate = $Candidate And (BitAND($iExStyles,$WS_EX_TOPMOST)) $Candidate = $Candidate And (StringLeft($WindowList[$Index][0], $LenSpeedCursor) <> $SpeedCursor) If $Candidate = 1 Then $Result = WinSetOnTop($WindowList[$Index][1], "", 0) if $Debug = True Then ConsoleWrite($WindowList[$Index][0] & " topmost set was: " & $SFResult[$Result] & @CR) EndIf Next EndFunc Func IsWindowVisible($WindowHandle) If BitAnd( WinGetState($WindowHandle), 2 ) Then Return 1 Else Return 0 EndIf EndFunc Edited September 15, 2012 by CountyIT Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
BrewManNH Posted September 15, 2012 Share Posted September 15, 2012 Code tags would make that so much easier to read. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from. Back up and restore Windows user files _Array.au3 - Modified array functions that include support for 2D arrays. - ColorChooser - An add-on for SciTE that pops up a color dialog so you can select and paste a color code into a script. - Customizable Splashscreen GUI w/Progress Bar - Create a custom "splash screen" GUI with a progress bar and custom label. - _FileGetProperty - Retrieve the properties of a file - SciTE Toolbar - A toolbar demo for use with the SciTE editor - GUIRegisterMsg demo - Demo script to show how to use the Windows messages to interact with controls and your GUI. - Latin Square password generator Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
CountyIT Posted September 15, 2012 Author Share Posted September 15, 2012 I was kind of hoping that since this is such a simple script that someone might copy the code and run it... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
guinness Posted September 15, 2012 Share Posted September 15, 2012 I agree with BrewManNH, code tags if you're posting AutoIt code please. I also wouldn't call what you posted as 'small', this is small... MsgBox(4096, '', 'Simple message box.') I personally don't use that UDF, so my suggestion is start from scratch, creating a small reproducer and working from there. It might not be what you're looking for but it's how you learn to correctly debug your programs.
