Pseudonymous
the goal is to auto install an application with 1 click. so far I have this. Run("C:\Users\hjohnson\Desktop\ALLIT-GMU-CHT Remote Support Standard Procedures\..1..ccsetup321.exe") Winwaitactive("(installer language)") Send("{enter}") The program launches but does not seem to register "enter", but when I press enter on my keyboard it goes to the next step of the installation process. So I am not understanding if I am doing the send wrong? I have tried the send that holds the key but no better result. Please help.

JohnOne
1) Try adding a short Sleep() before Send("{ENTER}") 2) Try ControlSend() 3) Try ControlClick() 4) Try ControlFocus() before all of the above. Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted October 1, 2012 Moderators Share Posted October 1, 2012 Hi, Pseudonymous. It appears from your post that you're trying to automate the install of CCleaner. Is there any reason you're not just doing a silent install, rather than trying to click your way through the GUI install? Something like this should suffice:ShellExecuteWait("ccsetup321.exe", '/s')If you're interested in all the command line options, you can check here : http://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/advanced-usage/command-line-parameters "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind. Mechaflash
I second JLogan. Don't try to automate a installer that has silent switches. It's just faster and much less of a headache to used the provided silent install feature. http://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/advanced-usage/command-line-parameters Spoiler “Hello, ladies, look at your man, now back to me, now back at your man, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped using ladies scented body wash and switched to Old Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re on a boat with the man your man could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an oyster with two tickets to that thing you love. Look again, the tickets are now diamonds. Anything is possible when your man smells like Old Spice and not a lady. I’m on a horse.”
