nivek
Thank you for the reply, Yes I have looked in the forum and did not see any thing like this. I have removed (un-installed & deleted the folder) Autoit and SciTE for Autoit and re-installed both. if I run au3record as a lone program it will run but not record script. water
You have to run Au3record from SciTe (Alt + F6) because the recorded script is pasted to SciTE. I realize this.. i said "if I run it as a lone program" it does the same thing from inside autoit.

BrewManNH
Not sure why you're not getting it to work for you because I just ran it 3 times and it worked ok for me everytime (Win7 x64 running as admin). Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. BrewManNH
You could just write the script yourself and forego the crutch. guinness
nivek, I think BrewManNH was serious, why not just write it yourself with using Au3Info, it's alot easier than you think. water
If you write the script yourself you learn the language on the fly. Au3Record has the disadvantage that the created script only works reliably on the same screen resolution. BrewManNH
Seeing as how you're likely one of the few experiencing the problem, look locally before blaming software that hundreds of others are able to use without a problem. Could be something on your computer preventing it from working correctly. I can use it without any issues on Vista/XP/7, so it's probably not the recorder that is at fault.
