App wont remove itself from memory

Looking for ideas to go about solving my present situation.

Right now I have built a fairly large AutoIt app and am running into a situation when I close down my app, that it still lingers in memory. The GUI windows disappear but the process still sits in memory and I have to kill it manually via Task Manager.

I am assuming this is likely due to open handles/objects that didnt get destroyed. However, because my app is so large, finding the culprit will be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Any suggestions on tools, function calls, etc. that can be used is appreciated.

Why not just use @AutoItPID? But then again calling Exit just exactly the same as that snippet.

Thanks for suggestions. Although this doesn't get to the root of the problem, I eventually came up with this as a temporary solution:

How are you exiting your script, the one that doesn't close when you close it?

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

By finding a 'workaround' for a problem that shouldn't exist is going to cause you problems later on. My suggestion fix it now and not later. Obviously you've coded something wrong and it's hanging.
