Creating multidimensional array in a loop

I have two arrays with 100 values in each and want to make one array with both values in it.

Tried some things but it does not work, need some help please.

$counter = 100
Local $xarray[$counter][2]

For $i=0 To UBound($xarray)
$xarray[$i][0] = $wert[$i]
$xarray[$i][1] = $wert2[$i]
Next

or with no first element

One possible way.

#include <Array.au3>

Local $1dArray1[100]
Local $1dArray2[100]

For $a = 0 To 99
     $1dArray1[$a] = Random(1, 100, 1)
     $1dArray2[$a] = Random(1, 100, 1)
Next

_ArrayDisplay($1dArray1, '$1dArray1 with 100 entries')
_ArrayDisplay($1dArray2, '$1dArray2 with 100 entries')

Local $2DArray[100][2]

For $2d = 0 To UBound($2dArray)-1
    $2dArray[$2d][0] = $1dArray1[$2d]
    $2dArray[$2d][1] = $1dArray2[$2d]
Next

_ArrayDisplay($2dArray, '$2DArray With $1dArray1 in column 0 and $1dArray2 in column 1')

Why do I have to take -1?

-1 is the step of the for loop, or?

Ubound counts the elements in the array.

Then I thought I have to count from 0 to the number Ubound returns.

For $i=0 To UBound($xarray) -1

Because there are 100 items in the array (for example) but it starts from 0 and ends at 99, so hence the -1.

So -1 is not the step counting backwards it means arraysize -1 ?

Yes, Step -1 would be going backwards.
