Hello.

Would someone please confirm what i believe is a bug?

It happens when scrolling by clicking and dragging the scroll bar button.

Most movement is smooth, but when you get to certain spots on the bar the editor text begins jumping up and down very rapidly.

Please open a file in Scite4Autoit (mine is a 26kB .c file), and drag the scroll bar slowly down the document.

I've attached a .gif animation of what I'm experiencing.

I can confirm.

I use SciTE 3.2.0 and scroll through an AutoIt sourcecode.

I'd bother the scintilla team about this, as it doesn't have anything to do with AutoIt, they just include SciTE in the download as a courtesy.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

This is a "feature" that was introduced by us when the Horizontal scrollbar is automatically updated by a LUA script.

Comment line 30 in SciTEstartup.LUA and you will see it is gone:

--~ LoadLuaFile("AutoHScroll.lua")

That doesn't matter as long as they are all longer than the width of the SciTE window ;)

It didn't bother me, but good to know there is a workaround. Thanks Jos.

It's not really a workaround, more a choice/preference, since this will disable setting the horizontal scrollbar to the right size.
