Alexandre
Hello I'm creating a script to read text from a file and write a reg entry. The code is $FileServer = FileOpen("C:program filesEUTILSserver.txt") $codeserver = FileRead($FileServer) $/result = RegWrite("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMControlSet001ControlSession ManagerEnvironment", "SERVER", "REG_SZ", ($codeserver) Can any tell me what is wrong on this? water
I'm sure the slash is not allowed in $/result. Alexandre
Tankyou any way i found the problem I have RegWrite("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMControlSet001ControlSession ManagerEnvironment", "SERVER", "REG_SZ", ($codeserver) And should be RegWrite("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMControlSet001ControlSession ManagerEnvironment", "SERVER", "REG_SZ", ($codeserver))
water
I would useRegWrite("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager\Environment", "SERVER", "REG_SZ", $codeserver)because there is no reason for the brackets. BrewManNH
You need quotes around the strings, for example around the and the cida.bat. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
