I also tried "run" and it did not work at all ShellExecute("Explorer.exe","","\\Apacefeatures1\active_projects_a-d\" & " " & "FEATURES\") whats wrong here. Thanks for any help. And the result looks the same to me whether I open the folder shortcut or do it programatically - as I would expect.
