legend Posted October 29, 2012 Share Posted October 29, 2012 Hi. I'm trying to compile a script, with a script. the script and the icon is in 2 different folders . but it won't work, if I put them in same folder it works fine. ShellExecute(@scriptdir & '\test1\Aut2exe.exe', ' /in "' & @scriptdir & '\test2\run.au3" /icon icon.ico') anyone knows how to get it to work ? guinness Posted October 29, 2012 Share Posted October 29, 2012 Why not use an absolute path e.g. "C:PathIcon.ico" instead of relative. Mobius Posted October 30, 2012 Share Posted October 30, 2012 (edited) Tell Aut2Exe to use the directory of your target script (where icon is stored) as its working directory when using relative paths. ShellExecute(@scriptdir & 'test1Aut2exe.exe', ' /in "' & @scriptdir & 'test2run.au3" /icon icon.ico',@ScriptDir & 'test2') In doing so you can do something like this also: ShellExecute(@scriptdir & 'test1Aut2exe.exe', '/in run.au3 /icon icon.ico',@ScriptDir & 'test2') Edited October 30, 2012 by Mobius Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mobius Posted October 30, 2012 Share Posted October 30, 2012 (edited) thanks for trying but didn't work Using what little information you provided I tested and it works just fine, perhaps you should provide more info or just do as guinness said and use the full path to your target files. where exactly is this icon file in relation to Aut2Exe or your target script? For example I used the following format based on what you posted: X:LEGEND TESTER.au3 <<< This script contains the posted code X:LEGENDtest1 Aut2Exe.exe AutoItSC.bin UPX.exe X:LEGENDtest2 run.au3 <<< This is the dummy script you are trying to build icon.ico <<< Is this where your icon resides? Perhaps a bitmap might help Edited October 30, 2012 by Mobius Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

BrewManNH Posted October 30, 2012 Share Posted October 30, 2012 There's no way for the compiler to know what @homedrive refers to, you have to use either a full path or an environment variable. guinness Posted October 30, 2012 Share Posted October 30, 2012 Why not compile like most of us do, using AutoItWrapper and the appropriate directives, UDF List: _AdapterConnections() • _AlwaysRun() • _AppMon() • _AppMonEx() • _ArrayFilter/_ArrayReduce • _BinaryBin() • _CheckMsgBox() • _CmdLineRaw() • _ContextMenu() • _ConvertLHWebColor()/_ConvertSHWebColor() • _DesktopDimensions() • _DisplayPassword() • _DotNet_Load()/_DotNet_Unload() • _Fibonacci() • _FileCompare() • _FileCompareContents() • _FileNameByHandle() • _FilePrefix/SRE() • _FindInFile() • _GetBackgroundColor()/_SetBackgroundColor() • _GetConrolID() • _GetCtrlClass() • _GetDirectoryFormat() • _GetDriveMediaType() • _GetFilename()/_GetFilenameExt() • _GetHardwareID() • _GetIP() • _GetIP_Country() • _GetOSLanguage() • _GetSavedSource() • _GetStringSize() • _GetSystemPaths() • _GetURLImage() • _GIFImage() • _GoogleWeather() • _GUICtrlCreateGroup() • _GUICtrlListBox_CreateArray() • _GUICtrlListView_CreateArray() • _GUICtrlListView_SaveCSV() • _GUICtrlListView_SaveHTML() • _GUICtrlListView_SaveTxt() • _GUICtrlListView_SaveXML() • _GUICtrlMenu_Recent() • _GUICtrlMenu_SetItemImage() • _GUICtrlTreeView_CreateArray() • _GUIDisable() • _GUIImageList_SetIconFromHandle() • _GUIRegisterMsg() • _GUISetIcon() • _Icon_Clear()/_Icon_Set() • _IdleTime() • _InetGet() • _InetGetGUI() • _InetGetProgress() • _IPDetails() • _IsFileOlder() • _IsGUID() • _IsHex() • _IsPalindrome() • _IsRegKey() • _IsStringRegExp() • _IsSystemDrive() • _IsUPX() • _IsValidType() • _IsWebColor() • _Language() • _Log() • _MicrosoftInternetConnectivity() • _MSDNDataType() • _PathFull/GetRelative/Split() • _PathSplitEx() • _PrintFromArray() • _ProgressSetMarquee() • _ReDim() • _RockPaperScissors()/_RockPaperScissorsLizardSpock() • _ScrollingCredits • _SelfDelete() • _SelfRename() • _SelfUpdate() • _SendTo() • _ShellAll() • _ShellFile() • _ShellFolder() • _SingletonHWID() • _SingletonPID() • _Startup() • _StringCompact() • _StringIsValid() • _StringRegExpMetaCharacters() • _StringReplaceWholeWord() • _StringStripChars() • _Temperature() • _TrialPeriod() • _UKToUSDate()/_USToUKDate() • _WinAPI_Create_CTL_CODE() • _WinAPI_CreateGUID() • _WMIDateStringToDate()/_DateToWMIDateString() • Au3 script parsing • AutoIt Search • AutoIt3 Portable • AutoIt3WrapperToPragma • AutoItWinGetTitle()/AutoItWinSetTitle() • Coding • DirToHTML5 • FileInstallr • FileReadLastChars() • GeoIP database • GUI - Only Close Button • GUI Examples • GUICtrlDeleteImage() • GUICtrlGetBkColor() • GUICtrlGetStyle() • GUIEvents • GUIGetBkColor() • Int_Parse() & Int_TryParse() • IsISBN() • LockFile() • Mapping CtrlIDs • OOP in AutoIt • ParseHeadersToSciTE() • PasswordValid • PasteBin • Posts Per Day • PreExpand • Protect Globals • Queue() • Resource Update • ResourcesEx • SciTE Jump • Settings INI • SHELLHOOK • Shunting-Yard • Signature Creator • Stack() • Stopwatch() • StringAddLF()/StringStripLF() • StringEOLToCRLF() • VSCROLL • WM_COPYDATA • More Examples...
