Why not use an absolute path e.g. "C:PathIcon.ico" instead of relative.

Tell Aut2Exe to use the directory of your target script (where icon is stored) as its working directory when using relative paths.

ShellExecute(@scriptdir & 'test1Aut2exe.exe', ' /in "' & @scriptdir & 'test2run.au3" /icon icon.ico',@ScriptDir & 'test2')

In doing so you can do something like this also:

ShellExecute(@scriptdir & 'test1Aut2exe.exe', '/in run.au3 /icon icon.ico',@ScriptDir & 'test2')

Using what little information you provided I tested and it works just fine, perhaps you should provide more info or just do as guinness said and use the full path to your target files.

where exactly is this icon file in relation to Aut2Exe or your target script?

For example I used the following format based on what you posted:

X:LEGEND
     TESTER.au3 <<< This script contains the posted code

X:LEGENDtest1
     Aut2Exe.exe
     AutoItSC.bin
     UPX.exe
X:LEGENDtest2
     run.au3 <<< This is the dummy script you are trying to build
     icon.ico <<< Is this where your icon resides?

Perhaps a bitmap might help :lol:

There's no way for the compiler to know what @homedrive refers to, you have to use either a full path or an environment variable.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

it works if a define it like this: /icon c:icon.ico

if i do it like: /icon %homedrive%icon.ico then it doesen't work.

there's not a way to use @homdrive & "icon.ico to make it work?

Like blood out of a stone, how hard would it have been to put that in your first post, After your pms in the past (about your setting up an AutoIt forum based on malcode) I know you speak perfect english.

What a waste of time lol
