This works fine but the copy.dll provided does not seem to work on windows XPI get "The application or DLL c:\copy.dll is not a valid windows image. Olease check this against your installation diskette."My question is 2 parts.1. Does anyone know how to ge the copy.dll working on my windows XP SP2 system (90% of my p.c estate"2. Does anyone know hot to update a progress bar during a file copy without using this dll. I know the above is based on WMI but not sure how to use this to put it togetherhttp://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa365242%28VS.85%29.aspxAny help greatly appreciated. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. bourny Posted October 30, 2012 Author Share Posted October 30, 2012 BrewManNH & guiness : You have a point however I am using my gui with the progress bar to allow ussers to download 6 critical updates one of which is SP3.Hence the reason I stated these are SP2 as I am upgrading them as SP3 is the pre-req for the new application that is getting delivered in the same Gui download and installer.KaFu - you are spot on. It appears I dropped both the 32bit and 64bit dll alongside the autoit program using the copy udf. I removed the 64bit dll and it worked fine. Seems the copy.au3 udf uses the 64bit if available to it rather than being smart enough to work out which dll it needs. Thank you for fixing this issue for me.
