If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. autoitxp 0 Posted November 2, 2012 (edited) like i wanted to create FileCreateShortcut(' %WINDIR%' &'myapp.exe', ........ file shorcut is created with path but not vaild to run actually there is no need to add double quotes it works even without double quotes i need to strip that ? FileCreateShortcut this function adding double quotes for trageted location hope u get my point poor english : this exactly FileCreateShortcut doing i have no clue how to filter double quotes upon call func FileCreateShortcut($myvar) $myvar = '"' & $myvar &'"' endfunc in simple words i dont want FileCreateShortcut to add double quotes for target location Edited November 2, 2012 by autoitxp Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
