Floppy
Hi, I'm using the following function to loop a sound. You can just try it using a short sound (8-9 seconds) as $jobSound. Func NuovaFunzione() _SoundPlay($jobSound) While 1 If _SoundStatus($jobSound) = "stopped" Then _SoundPlay($jobSound) Sleep(10) WEnd EndFunc The problem is that the function, after the first loop, play the last second of the sound before restarting from the first second. Maybe this is a bug of the _Sound UDF? Is there a fix for this?
Moderators Melba23 Posted November 4, 2012 Moderators Share Posted November 4, 2012 Floppy,Your function works perfectly for me using an 8 sec .wav file. So a couple of questions: - Have you tried with several files and do you get the same problem with them all?- Are you using _SoundOpen to open the file elsewhere in your script and using the returned value as the $jobSound parameter in the other functions?M23 Any of my own code posted anywhere on the forum is available for use by others without any restriction of any kind Open spoiler to see my UDFs: Spoiler ArrayMultiColSort ---- Sort arrays on multiple columnsChooseFileFolder ---- Single and multiple selections from specified path treeview listingDate_Time_Convert -- Easily convert date/time formats, including the language usedExtMsgBox --------- A highly customisable replacement for MsgBoxGUIExtender -------- Extend and retract multiple sections within a GUIGUIFrame ---------- Subdivide GUIs into many adjustable framesGUIListViewEx ------- Insert, delete, move, drag, sort, edit and colour ListView itemsGUITreeViewEx ------ Check/clear parent and child checkboxes in a TreeViewMarquee ----------- Scrolling tickertape GUIsNoFocusLines ------- Remove the dotted focus lines from buttons, sliders, radios and checkboxesNotify ------------- Small notifications on the edge of the displayScrollbars ----------Automatically sized scrollbars with a single commandStringSize ---------- Automatically size controls to fit textToast -------------- Small GUIs which pop out of the notification area

Floppy
I've tried with a wav and it works fine, but with a mp3 the problem persists.
Moderators Melba23 Posted November 4, 2012 Moderators Share Posted November 4, 2012 Floppy, There have been several threads recently where people have had problems playing mp3 files. The problem has often been caused by corrupt ID3 tags - try removing all the tags from the file and see if that makes any difference. Moderators Melba23 Posted November 4, 2012 Moderators Share Posted November 4, 2012 Floppy, If you post an mp3 file that misbehaves (via PM if you do not want to post it here) I will play with it and see if I can reproduce the problem. Floppy
Hi Melba, The mp3 is a simple siren. I've converted it into wav and now it works fine. Thank you anyway for your help
