Greeting,

I have a working vbs file, I want to use it in a autoit EXE file.

when the Autoit EXE file launch, it will extract (create) a vbs file to the temp folder then launch vbs from there.

what is the best way to do that? the vbs file about 8KB size.

thanks

Hi, usera. My first question would be why? Why not convert the vbscript to native AutoIt, rather than mixing your languages?

If you want to post the vbscript, we can attempt to assist you in converting.

Edit: Or explain in detail what the vbscript is accomplishing.

Look at post #2 for your answer on how to include it in the compiled exe.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

thanks for the answer, my target is only one autoit EXE file. that is all, the vbs is inside it

Thanks

Your statement above doesn't make any sense. Does your help file give you different information when it comes to FileInstall than mine does?

Thanks

say for example the vbs file as below

strComputer = "."

Set objWMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:" _

I knew I can use like

$a1='strComputer = "."'

$a2='Set objWMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:" _'

then link $a1 $a2 together become $a3 then write $a3 to temp folder become a vbs file, for 8KB size that too hard.

thanks

I'm beginning to question the Prodigy title. Why don't you take a moment and read what the help file says about FileInstall?
