kiboost
Hi, In my network GPOs I have set for all network a blank screensaver, and a monitor turnoff after x minutes. I'm writing a slideshow for a presentation that will have to turn entire day, and I can manager to not get screensaver with mousemove, but monitor will turn off anyway (seems mousemove doesn't trigger idletime for monitor turn off). Of course I can change the GPO for that day, but is there a way to prevent with autoit code, such behavior ? It could even be a command line to run, I know every admin and domain admin log/pass so I can run a domain admin command to change that, and restore it while exiting. Any idea ? BrewManNH
Is this for just one computer or all of them? Because if it's just one, try logging in using the local administrators account and not a domain account. GP doesn't affect the local admin's screensaver usually. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. DicatoroftheUSA
Windows 7 has a built in hotkey for a presentation mode, I believe it in win+p, or win+x. I am not at a win-7 box ATM. I believe it bypasses that. Edited November 13, 2012 by DicatoroftheUSA Statism is violence, Taxation is theft. Autoit Wiki
Xandy
What OS? If you mouseclick will that trigger the idletime? Then you could mouse move to safe location and click, Idk. I've had visual programs running for days, but with XP. Things I did where winactivate(), mousemove(), mouseclick(), maybe some others. kiboost
Thanks all, didn't saw your answers sorry (missed email notifications). It is for lot of machines (win7) and without changing user, so domain user. I've finally changed the gpo to several hours, and will put it back after this event. But would be nice to know how to overcome this, will do some more testing. Anyway it begin in one hour now lol !
