JustinRaphaelDonnaruma
Hello all, first post here... I'm having some trouble with Internet Explorer and the WinSetOnTop function. It just doesn't work. Quicky Information: The script is supposed to move a window to the top of the screen, and 820px from the right side, then set the window to AlwaysOnTop, so it can lose focus, but remain in view. Here is the script. Testing against IE 10 AutoItSetOption ( "WinTitleMatchMode" , 2 ) Global $xPos = @DesktopWidth - 820 Global $yPos = 0 WinWait ( "" , "TESTING" ) WinSetOnTop ( "", "TESTING", 1 ) WinMove ( "", "TESTING", $xPos, $yPos) I have tested in other browsers, and every other browser works just fine. JustinRaphaelDonnaruma
Because I'm attempting to make it work across browsers, and the title for each browser will be different. If I have to use a select statement instead to do it on a per browser basis I will, but as of right now, everything works on all browsers tested (Safari, Chrome, IE, FF), except for the SetOnTop portion with IE. BrewManNH
It works fine for me on Windows 7 with IE10, must be something on your end, or you're using Windows 8 which I can't test. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. MilesAhead
For testing purposes try using HotKeySet to assign a hotkey to your function and press the hotkey when IE is active. Just use "[ACTIVE]" as the window title. That should at least determine if it's ever going to work. After your set up code and before your function, While 1 Wend should be good enough to keep your test running in the tray so you can hotkey.
