For creating controls I made it so its a click and drag operation, just click and drag it to re size it from the start.

When changing control data press ENTER to submit.

I plan on responding to all of your comments soon, I've been out of town and really busy with school.

I have finals this week, once I'm done with school i should have a lot more free time :)

Wow! This is looking very impressive, I'm certainly for it replacing Koda once all of the bugs are ironed out.

Perhaps he should just call it Koda Killer then?;):P muttley

In all seriousness though, I think it's qualifying for a leading 'Advanced'.

Advanced GUI Builder or Advanced GUI Creator. AGC.

@Buckmaster

Here is my suggestion for a name for the app:

BAGET

Build AutoIt GUI's, Easily, Timely.

Based upon the definition:

A gem, esp. a diamond, cut in a long rectangular shape: "a baguette diamond".

(See the Definition at this site.)

Because it is a Gem of a program.

Thank you for sharing, great work.

Or take concepts and ideas and morph up a new word. It does not have to be an acronym.

Advanced

Powerful

I went through an extensive and time consuming process like this during the creation of "Morthawt", all kinds of hidden meanings and concepts relating to me were used to create the final word/name.

I don't see what the problem is with calling it GUI Builder, just because someone else has a script of the same name shouldn't matter, considering 99% of the people here probably never heard of it before. If you really wanted to name it something different, call it GUIBuilderEX, that seems to be the naming convention when people make something new that might conflict with the name of something else.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I hereby grant any person the right to use any code I post, that I am the original author of, on the autoitscript.com forums, unless I've specifically stated otherwise in the code or the thread post. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from.

Back up and restore Windows user files _Array.au3 - Modified array functions that include support for 2D arrays.  -  ColorChooser - An add-on for SciTE that pops up a color dialog so you can select and paste a color code into a script.  -  Customizable Splashscreen GUI w/Progress Bar - Create a custom "splash screen" GUI with a progress bar and custom label.  -  _FileGetProperty - Retrieve the properties of a file  -  SciTE Toolbar - A toolbar demo for use with the SciTE editor  -  GUIRegisterMsg demo - Demo script to show how to use the Windows messages to interact with controls and your GUI.  -   Latin Square password generator

Very nice indeed. When I start it, there are no icons in the menus but the buttons still work for label, etc. i'm on Win 7 and curious if this may be contributing and if . anyone else experienced this?

update and disregard - just redownloaded and unzipped - looking GREAT!!!

It's not about whether most people have heard of it before, it's about paying respect to the past, to the very first AutoIt GUI builder. It also negates any chance of confusion, for those who still use the update of the original, that's still available from my Toolbox link.

GUIBuilderEX is ok though.

Thanks for all the creative suggestions but I decided to go with Form Builder.

Latest Improvements:

  • Added Auto Declare variables in settings under Script
  • Fixed string movement in GDI+ Mode
  • Fixed duplicate controls with no GUI/Controls
  • Re-wrote script importing ( should be much faster and more stable )
  • Improved Dynamic style updating
  • Fixed error with saving in settings
  • Import clipboard includes GUI's
  • Added Ctrl + S hotkey to Save Script
  • Made a new icon that looks a lot better on dark backgrounds
  • Copy Controls button added

Very cool!

Can you add the ability to add a control with a single click so that it places a standard sized button as an alternative to requiring it to be dragged to size? Also can you add the ability to be able to copy a control and paste it so we can have multiple copies of the same kind of control we just added since we already set the first one up to be perfectly, no sense having to set up 4 buttons separately when they all may need to be the exact same setup.

Good work :)
