GUI Icon Question...

Can an AutoIt script, or any program for that matter contain more than one icon? I would like one to display beside the program in file explorers, and another one to be the icon of the main program.

Is this possible? I tried checking out GUICtrlCreateIcon, but that didnt work out .

By "icon of the main program" I assume you mean the icon in the titlebar? I believe that's what GUISetIcon is for. You will have to fileinstall that icon though.

Some pseudo code (assumes fileIcon.ico and mainIcon.ico exist):

FileInstall('mainIcon.ico', 'mainIcon.ico')
GuiCreate('Title')
GuiSetIcon('mainIcon.ico')
GuiSetState()
...etc...

Then when you compile, set Aut2Exe to use fileIcon.ico.

I do believe that is what I needed. I missed that one .

I should add one thing though, it appears that GuiSetIcon isn't perfect. For some reason it distorts the icon (looks like it was resized, even if the only format in your icon is 16x16 pixels), I haven't been able to find a way around this problem yet.

I appreciate the warning, but that was the trouble I was having in the first place. I had one icon that looked decent being there and one that looked decent in icon view.
