NicolasLacour Posted December 8, 2012 Share Posted December 8, 2012 Hello everyone,I'm new to Autoit/AutoitX and came to it because i needed something to forbid the use of keyboard and mouse during a vbscript execution.(info cames form here).But it seems that it's not working properly on my Windows 8 RTM X64. I've register the X64 Dll of the 3.3.8.1 release and it worked well, but when executing the sample scripts calculator.vbs or notepad.vbs only the first part of both scripts works (nothing append after notpad or calc fire up !)...Is AutoitX fully compatible with windows 8 ?Is there a "nightly build" somewhere that solve the issue ?If not, is there any alternative ?Thank youDiagg Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Because if they don't you'll need to change them. This happened when Windows 7 came out and Vista, the windows change depending on the OS version you're using, and you need to adapt the scripts to match. The examples have been written with XP in mind, and haven't been updated, but usually with a little tweaking of them, they work fine in the newer OSs. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
