Check to see if user has interrupted a script while running?

For example:

If a user clicks on a window that was opened by the running script, the script will stop.

What I want to do:

Change that from it stopping to it continuing and ignoring the user interaction.

I was hoping that there was a way to do this without using BlockInput ( I want the user to retain usage of the mouse and keyboard while the script is running)

Without some idea of what you're doing in the script, there's no answer.

If you're looking for a window and the user clicks out of it before the window is found by your script, you can add a time out to a WinWait/WinWaitActive for example.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Sorry for not being more specific. Here is what I am trying to do:

Run($GoogleChromeDir)
      WinWaitActive("New Tab - Google Chrome")
      Send("www.google.com")
      Send("{enter}")
      WinWaitActive("Google - Google Chrome")
      Sleep(1000)
      SendKeepActive("Google - Google Chrome")
      Send($String, 1)
      Send("{enter}")
      WinWaitActive($String & " - Google Search - Google Chrome")

Basically, it opens a google chrome window and searches for $String on google

What I am trying to do is make sure that while this is happening, the user doesn't accidentally pause the script by clicking on the screen or the google chrome window that pops up. But I don't want to completely disable use of Mouse and Keyboard.

Try this:

Run($GoogleChromeDir)
WinWaitActive("New Tab - Google Chrome")
ControlSend("New Tab - Google Chrome", "", "[CLASS:Chrome_OmniboxView; INSTANCE:1]","www.google.com{ENTER}")
;~ Send("{enter}")
WinWaitActive("Google - Google Chrome")
;~ Sleep(1000)
;~ SendKeepActive("Google - Google Chrome")
ControlSend("Google - Google Chrome", "", "[CLASS:Chrome_RenderWidgetHostHWND; INSTANCE:1]",$String & "{ENTER}")
;~ Send($String, 1)
;~ Send("{enter}")
WinWaitActive($String & " - Google Search - Google Chrome")

This sends to the correct window regardless of what window is active. I don't know if it will affect it if they close the tab or change tabs in Chrome.
