Run autoit code from a variable

Hi everyone

Its possble to run code from a variable?

like, i want to update my program without need to create another version of the .exe, can I read a file, and execute the code in it?

in that example, could I replace "AU3_Example.txt" with a variable with code to be executed? the computer needs the autoit installation to execute _RunAU3? (since my program will be running in computers without autoit

Look in the help file and do a bit of searching, but no to run multiple lines you have to use a file.

ok, there's no help file, I got it from here: http://www.autoitscript.com/wiki/Snippets_(_AutoIt_)

so, only files, I was thinking to encrypt the code, so noone'll change it :s

7. Click on Convert to compile the script.

Note: scripts can be compile with .a3x extension. They should be run with AutoIt.exe filename.a3x. The .a3x contains the script itself with all referred #include plus the FileInstall files. This format allow to distribute smaller files as they don't include the AutoIt3.exe in each compile script. You still need to have it accessible on the target machine but just AutoIt3.exe.

if I compile a program with the name example.exe, to run a a3x i can do it like. example.exe mya3x.a3x? or just with the autoit.exe main executable?

Correct, you can use _RunAu3 above to do that. See the source code of SciTE Jump where I run Monitor.a3x in a seperate process. If you use SciTE4AutoIt3, then use this to compile the code as either exe or a3x.

I did not understand well I i need to use that tag :s, and yes, I use SciTE4AutoIt3e.

now I see what it does, only changes the radio button to a3x of AutoIt3Wrapper compiler gui

nice, a bit large for a line, 381bytes for 50bytes of code (excluding Wrapper code), but should do the job

EDIT: how do I pass variables from the main .exe to a3x to be processed?

EDIT2: well, since I can read objects from the main .exe, how do I pass some data to be processed by the exe?
