What factors contribute to the decision to release an official version? The decision is based on a series of questions that all have to work.When does Jon have enough time to manage the new release?Are all the identifed bugs in the program fixed?Are all the bugs identified?Are all the support program updated and debugged?When do we freeze the new features? Most of the developers will have more ideas after a feature freeze, but they will have to wait until after the release unless absolutely incredible.A few other issues that I have not identifed yet.These are my thought. Others that know more may have other ideas. Take a look at the bug reports forum. When that dies down (particularily in the Open section), we may go for it. It will give off the vibe when it is probable that a stable release will be issued, but that also (as he said) depends on Jon and his timing.
