Welcome to the AutoIt forum. :)

But you have posted in the "Developer Chat" area rather then the "General Help" area. I will move the thread for you, but please pay more attention in future. ;)

And we will need some more information - for example: What scanner? What exactly is this serial number and how is it read? How does the information arrive from the scanner to the machine? You get the idea - help us to help you. :)

When you mean scanner, are you talking about this >> http://www.barcodeman.co.uk/altek/simple/ as I believe it just copies the code to the clipboard.

The scanner seems to come with a Twain driver. Search the forum for "twain" and you'll find threads like this: "
