Hi,

The following code wraps text after about 1024 chars. Is there a way to increase this?

Tried: varying fonts - no effect

Searched: forums, Google, MSDN for "horizontal scroll limit", "horizontal scroll", "scroll limit", and others with no success

; *** Start added by AutoIt3Wrapper ***
#include <EditConstants.au3>
#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <StaticConstants.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>
; *** End added by AutoIt3Wrapper ***

#AutoIt3Wrapper_Add_Constants=n

local $gui010    =    guicreate('',1200,400)
local $aSize    =    wingetclientsize($gui010)
local $edt010    =    guictrlcreateedit('',20,50,$aSize[0]-40,250,bitor($ss_sunken,$ws_vscroll,$ws_hscroll,$es_readonly))
                    guictrlsetlimit(-1,1000000)
                    guisetstate()

local $str
for $1 = 1 to 1000
    $str &= stringformat('%04s',$1) & ','
Next

guictrlsetdata($edt010,$str)

while 1
    switch guigetmsg()
        case $gui_event_close
            Exit
    EndSwitch
WEnd

Thanks,

kylomas

Well, this "$aSize[0] - 40" translates to 1160 on my system, so that might have something to do with it. But I can't be sure as I don't know what's going on under the hood with the Edit control.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

BrewmanNH,

Thanks for the quick reply. The $asize array is just setting the width of the edit control based on the width of the gui. I tried varying the width also with no change in the result.
