Can't perform this operation on a closed port = None

channel number = 1

3G modem is Huawei E303M, OS:Windows XP Pro 32bit, SP3+all the updates, tried running it from Administrator account as well. Same result.

EDIT: Tried also with disabled firewall. No success.

Connection state seems to be detected accurately, data about network traffic remains 0

Still, I am seriously interested since standard 3G manager comes with extremely annoying splash screen and XP does not allow automatic 3G connection in the OS itself (like you could do in "7")

That commmg.dll is the one that comes with martin's commmg UDF that is included in this package. It appears that the OP has renamed it, and stripped all the original author's comments out of the Commg.au3 file. If I was a suspicious person, I'd think he was trying to claim he wrote it.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

How to ask questions the smart way!

I hereby grant any person the right to use any code I post, that I am the original author of, on the autoitscript.com forums, unless I've specifically stated otherwise in the code or the thread post. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from.

Back up and restore Windows user files _Array.au3 - Modified array functions that include support for 2D arrays.  -  ColorChooser - An add-on for SciTE that pops up a color dialog so you can select and paste a color code into a script.  -  Customizable Splashscreen GUI w/Progress Bar - Create a custom "splash screen" GUI with a progress bar and custom label.  -  _FileGetProperty - Retrieve the properties of a file  -  SciTE Toolbar - A toolbar demo for use with the SciTE editor  -  GUIRegisterMsg demo - Demo script to show how to use the Windows messages to interact with controls and your GUI.  -   Latin Square password generator

shaqan,

You might not care, but I do. ;)

ChenYangHuan,

You can repost this code when you have restored the original author's credits. And do NOT ever try to do this again. :naughty:

I'm not saying it made by me, because I have collected from many sources!

ChenYangHuan,

Your apology is accepted, but please understand that what you did is not acceptable here. By all means use code you find on the forum - but then you should at the very least credit the original author and certainly not remove all the identifying comments or merely rename the associated DLL. That is "intellectual property theft" in anyone's book. :naughty:

Now if you were to repackage the various bits of code you used with suitable acknowledgements (and the original name for the DLL), you can post it in a new thread and we can put all this behind us. :)
