Get value with radio button

Hi,

I'm new to autoit and tryng to get a simple code to work.

I need to change some values in txt/conf/ini files, depending on which radio button is checked.

In my case, I want to change SMTP, and each radio button represent a possible SMTP.

I just want to get this value and then continue the script with the new parameter, but I'm like lost in all documentation about autoit and radio buttons.

I'd like the user to check the right radio button, and then click the OK button to continue the script.

Could you please give a hand to the newbie that I am?

first you need to choose a method of how your buttons will work, Refer to the helpfile, try searching onevent mode.If you have koda then before generating the code go to generating options in the tools menu, then select create functions for all controls. this way you can learn how things work. My suggestion is, use onevent mode and use every radio control as a button.

Do you want to get the state of the radio (searched _IsChecked in the Forum) or the text?

Yes I used Koda, but didn't notice the generating options in the menu.

But if I understand the OnEvent Mode, in my case, I have to define the OK button so that when it's clicked, the script checks if a radio button is checked, and then fills the variable $smtp with the right value.

Just found a good example of _IsChecked here

I had tried something like this before, in order to avoid the OnEvent Mode, but I never managed to do what I wanted...

But I'll try it again!
