Thanks guys!

I am sure that this has been covered multiple times, but I cannot find it through search. I am trying to help someone who cannot talk for themselves, but can use the keyboard. I have no idea how to start on such a script, so sadly I have no source.

I just want to convert a string of typed text into speech through the Microsoft general voice. I am trying to help him communicate to his family.

Please excuse me for vague details.

I can make hotkeys to say anything, preset or variable text.

but that's my program that uses tts.au3 by Beege

Hi kylomas,

The best I could get from that is this:

Which doesnt exactly cover my problem. Not only is the post out of date, but I am out of date. Its been a long time since I have done anything real in autoit. At least, anything that anyone else could benefit from.

The person that I am trying to help is my Fiance's brother. Long story short, because of mental disability's, he cannot communicate with his family. I want to try and fix this. But the only thing I use autoit for these days is personal use or malware removal.

For once I want to use it for something different.

It will be a few hours before I get on again, but that is because of lack of sleep. I have been trying to figure this out for several hours, and quite far from how long I should be awake ( At least 1/12 days...)

That is also my explanation of my text being erratic.

I found this - had to update to allow google to work, but it seems to do the trick - one thing, if you use google option (1, default is 0) then you have to go through your text and put a common, period, explanation point, in about ever 10 words or so.

@czardas, if you are texting me - I have not issues so far, as I have not been able to try tts.au3 - yet it looks better, so I may incorporate it into that function I posted - to allow different voices.

I didn't realize they'd added that to NirCmd, nice to know for the future

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.
