Send("{LWINDOWN}{x}{LWINUP}") doesn't work

It works if you use Send("#x") on Windows 7, I get the Windows Mobility Center to show up, I don't have Windows 8 so I can't test that, but it might just be an idiosyncrasy of Win8 that you can't use it.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Heck might as well give you the rest of the commands since you'll want them.

#AutoIt3Wrapper_run_debug_mode=Y ; use this to debug in console window <--- LOOK

MouseClick("right", 0, @DesktopHeight-1) ;simulate win+x by right clicking in lower left corner

$cmd = "v" ;pick a command from the list below (sometimes can use lower case)
Send($cmd)

;~ Sleep(1000) ;use for Search (Metro) or Run box
;~ Send("x") ;Send to Search box or Run box

Exit

#cs
win+x commands
F or f = Programs and Features
O or o = Power Options
V or v = Event Viewer
Y or y = System
M or m = Device Manager
K or k = Disk Management
G or g = Computer Management
C or c = Command Prompt
A or a = Command Prompt (Admin) <-- note - will user prompt UAC to elevate if needed

T or t = Task Manager
P or p = Control Panel
E or e = File Explorer <-- note - normally opens on directory Computer
S or s = Search <-- note - opens Metro Apps Search so you can Send keys in after a pause (Sleep(1000) works)
R or r = Run <-- note - opens Run box so you can Send keys in after a pause (Sleep(1000) works)

D or d = Desktop <-- note - opens desktop AND icons to taskbar any window open (interesting)

What are you trying to have happen when you send Win+X? Because it appears that it works different whether you're on the Desktop or at the Start screen.

I can't use the mouse suggestion because i'm writing a generic script for Windows 8 in different languages.

Therefore when it's a different language (Chinese, Hebrew, English etc.) the mouse should be placed in different places (Rightleft) to Access the Windows Tools Menu.

Any other suggestions please?
