You could pass parameter FieldInfo. An array containing parse information for individual columns of data. Set the column to xlTextFormat.

Please check the of the Excel UDF I'm working on. It's just an alpha version but function _Excel_BookOpenText should do what you want. Check example 1 in _Excel_BookOpenText.au3 for an example.
