JohnOne Posted March 9, 2013 Share Posted March 9, 2013 I've tried SVN with both autoit and visual studio but just cannot get my head around it. All the tutorials I read looked like they were from older versions and I could not get it to work, things like the repository path could not be found and suchlike when they were clearly there. If ever I get my head around it I will certainly make a layman's tut. Something as simple as the OP and Mat's example is ideal for a simple person such as myself. Of course I doubt it would be useful if you have a basket of project include files. storme Posted March 10, 2013 Share Posted March 10, 2013 When I originally decided on GIThub I wanted something that was the full package. IE I could use locally and as a public store for anything I released. Also long term I was looking at a Program (AutoIt) that would update UDFs I released so that users could get the latest and not have to search. (This wasn't really for me but for the bigger popular UDF like Waters Outlook.) Git fit the bill but it's got a LOT of bells and whistles and at the time I didn't have the time to work it all out to my satisfaction. The simple SVN tut/walk through the guinness sent will do for now until I can revisit Git.
