computergroove
I want to set a timer on an action in scite. Here's what I've come up with so far: local $t = 0 While 1 ToolTip($t,0,0) Sleep(1000) $t= $t+1 $a = Pixelgetcolor(123,123) If $t = 30 then ExitLoop Elseif $a = 0xFFFFFF then Mouseclick("Left",123,123,1) ExitLoop EndIf WEnd If the pixelgetcolor doesnt get to color 0xffffff at pixel location 123,123 in 30 seconds then I want to exit the loop. I intentionally left the pixel location 123,123 not equal to 0xFFFFFF and the tooltip stays at 0 and after a second the script exits. Help. Get Scite to add a popup when you use a 3rd party UDF -> http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/scite/docs/SciTE4AutoIt3/user-calltip-manager.html
nitekram
The help file says Returns decimal value of pixel's color and you are looking for HEX + the script works fine as far as the 30 seconds and counts up, Edited March 9, 2013 by nitekram 2¢ All by me:"Sometimes you have to go back to where you started, to get to where you want to go." BrewManNH
This might work a bit better and allows you to check the location for the color more often without overburdening your CPU. nitekram
fixed code: that did not need to be fixed, as per BrewManNH Global $t = TimerInit() While TimerDiff($t) < 30000 ToolTip(Int(TimerDiff($t) / 1000), 0, 0) Sleep(100) $a = PixelGetColor(123, 123) If Hex($a, 6) = 0xFFFFFF Then MouseClick("Left", 123, 123, 1) ExitLoop EndIf WEnd Edited March 10, 2013 by nitekram 2¢ All by me:"Sometimes you have to go back to where you started, to get to where you want to go." BrewManNH
Nitekram, you can directly compare a hex value with a decimal value. There's no need to change it to a hex just to compare it to another hex value. If you had taken the time to run my code you would have seen that. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. nitekram
I am sorry, YES - I did NOT run your code, as I was not on a computer that could run the code at the time. But that still seems strange to me - why state in the help file that it returns a decimal in BOLD if it did not matter - just my 2 cents on that.As I have worked with strings and the string was the number "1", and if I did a comparison on it to see if the value was a 1 - it would not work, unless I change the variable to a Number().Sorry, about the hijack on my rant!EDIT changed Int() to Number() Edited March 10, 2013 by nitekram 2¢ All by me:"Sometimes you have to go back to where you started, to get to where you want to go." BrewManNH
I can't address why they felt the need to highlight the word decimal, that's something you can ask Guiness about. nitekram
Ok, so I tested your code and it appears that Hex and Decimal for this function does matter... for testing - i have changed the time to 5 seconds and the color to white - also put a msgbox popup, as otherwise it was closing the script (happend to match to scites close window - lol) Global $t = TimerInit() While TimerDiff($t) < 5000 ToolTip(Int(TimerDiff($t) / 1000), 0, 0) Sleep(100) $a = PixelGetColor(123, 123) ;ConsoleWrite($a & @CRLF) If $a = 0x000000 Then ;MouseClick("Left", 123, 123, 1) MsgBox('','','match') ExitLoop EndIf WEnd Edit - had to change second snippet Global $t = TimerInit() While TimerDiff($t) < 5000 ToolTip(Int(TimerDiff($t) / 1000), 0, 0) Sleep(100) $a = PixelGetColor(123, 123) ;ConsoleWrite($a & @CRLF) If Hex($a) = 0x000000 Then ;MouseClick("Left", 123, 123, 1) MsgBox('','','match') ExitLoop EndIf WEnd Edited March 10, 2013 by nitekram 2¢ All by me:"Sometimes you have to go back to where you started, to get to where you want to go."
