I'm wondering if this is a gui bug, or something else such as a silly anomaly which I seem to get a lot of on my computer.

The Default Autoit icon displays over the standard minimize button on a small gui.

Here is a pre-written repo.

$hGui = Guicreate("small gui", 100, 100, (@DeskTopWidth - 100) / 2, (@DeskTopHeight -100) / 2)
GuiSetState()

While 1
    Switch GuiGetMsg()
        Case 0
            ContinueLoop
        Case -3
            Exit
    EndSwitch
WEnd

Of course it corrects if you mouse over it.

I think that is a Windows problem with too many things in the titlebar of a very small GUI rather then anything specific to AutoIt. :)

Perhaps, I'm not so sure though, if I create a window in C++ (win32API using CreateWindow) the same thing does not occur.

What does happen (and I'm aware it could be IDE related) is that a standard GUI which has those buttons and an icon, will not go any narrower than the size required for them to fit on it.

Jury still out.

Same on Windows Server 2012 and probably also on Win8. WinXP seems to be "ok".

Another thing: just to confirm my thoughts, standard applications seems to have a minimum window width so the icon is not totally over the minimize button as you can see here with the blue square :

But if you are going to allow a window to have a width smaller than that, do you not think it buggy to allow the application icon to be drawn over functional controls, even if just initially?

A little bit, because you won't be able to access to the sysmenu through the icon if this one is under the minimize button. It's like a compromise between showing the icon or not.

Even that said, I don't see the purpose of having a small window like that. (but I know it's about the fact that it seems to be buggy).
