Scite Issue, driving me nuts

Recommended Posts

Hello.

Can someone please tell me how to disable "trace lines"? They are driving me crazy.

Also, how do I go back to the old color theme? The one seen here: http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/scite/syntaxHighlight.png

The current one is giving me headaches to say the least.

Please help. Thank you a lot.

What do you mean by "trace lines" ?

To load the old color setting When running the Full version you:

  • start SciTEConfig Ctrl+1
  • Select Color settings tab
  • Click New Scheme
  • Select : OldSciTE4AutoIt3 ==> Old Standard SciTE4AutoIt3 Color scheme

TheCandybar,

Ten seconds inside the <Help - SciTE Help> dialog shows a property variable "view.indentation.guides". So I imagine if you add:

view.indentation.guides=0

to your User Properties file (use <Options - Open User Option File> to access it) SciTE will start with them disabled. Why not try and see. ;)

HelloThe red lines that highlights your warnings/errors. If I go Tools > Remove all Trace lines they disappear, so that's where I got trace lines from.I want to disable them completely.

Add this to your SciteUser.properties file, or change the value if it's there already

error.inline=0

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

This is called display inline errrors and available in the latest versions of SciTE.

Just add this to your SciTEUser.properties:

error.inline=0

PS: it serves a purpose to help you work on the Errors in much easier way.

It just clutters the screen imo. Easier to work from the console output. Thank you for the help. My headaches shall be gone now.
