Like the IE or chrome icon. Actually I just created a shortcut, renamed the shortcut and that worked. Thanks for the reply! AusFest Posted April 10, 2013 Author Share Posted April 10, 2013 Do you know if there is a way to compile it without the .exe showing up? After I created the shortcut and renamed it I realized that people could then go into the properties and edit the "target" and "start in" inputs, which I do not want. What I am doing is creating a script that points to an application on a server that they personally dont have permissions too. And I am just creating an executable of that scrip and placing it on there desktop which they cant remove or edit. The .exe extension showing up isnt a big deal I would just like it to so it looks more like the original icon "bait and switch". And I know show or hide file extesions is an option but I can expect people to check that just so my icon looks the way I want it too. So Im just wondering if it is possible to remove the .exe or compile a script without the .exe showing up in the icon name. Thanks Again Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
