dimser
I can add that I am looking for a tree structure but the window Info can't find it. Is there maybe a way with controlTreeView?? Edited April 11, 2013 by dimser
Richard Robertson
It would help if you told us what program you were trying to automate. Some non-standard programs have great APIs that are easier to use than trying to use standard automation. Some programs resist automation.
dimser
Where trying to automate a CAD program called CATIA if that is of any help! Am looking for the same behaviour as if I have an array in a window and in this case I can only locate the window and the window Info can't find the content in the window. Then I use controlViewGetText(..) to access the content in the window. But in my case now I neew to access and tree which I don't know how to do. Right now am trying to access it with controlTreeView but I just get errors...
Richard Robertson
I've never used the program, but if standard functions return errors then it must be a non-standard control. It looks like CATIA has a COM interface though. A random forum hit says you should find docs for automation at install_pathwin_b64codebinDSYAutomation.chm on a 64 bit install. If 32 bit, you probably just look for the folder that says 32.
