MrMax
Is pixelChecksum significantly faster than pixelSearch?
Bert
For automating an application - does it really make a difference? Not much. For other things, maybe. Why do you ask? MrMax
Well in my world pixelchecksum just checks if there's something going on in a pixel area. Whilst pixelsearch checks the same but only registeres if the right color appears. My question is if one is faster than the other. For my program sometimes stuff happens really fast (adobe premiere). BrewManNH
Try it with both and let us know. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. MrMax
So like is Pixelsearch with ALL variations of the shade equally as fast as pixelchecksum?
JohnOne
Would you consider posting some code which demonstrates how the two could be used for the same thing. I'm rather curious you see. MrMax
Local $test= PixelSearch(774, 113, 830, 147, 12228201, 255, 1) If IsArray($test) = True Then ;DO SOMETHING HERE ENDIF ; Or this with checksum If PixelChecksum(774, 113, 830, 147) <> 406835298 Then DO SOMETHING EndIf Both of these will "do something" when something happens in 774, 113, 830, 147. Pixelsearch with a high shade variance will pick up on most changes.
