First time making bot, please help

Recommended Posts

So from my first post I had not read the rules too attentively and realized i had posted something against the rules. This time i just want to test it on a random site so i did it on a camping reservations site.

This is my script:

WinWaitActive ( "Discover Camping Reservation System - Mozilla Firefox" );

While 1=1

MouseMove ( 474, 824 [, 10] )

Sleep (10000

MouseClick ( "Left" )

WEnd

The message that pops up is this:

Line 3 (File "C:\Users\Sacre_000\Desktop\BotScripts\ClickerTest.exe"): Error: Error parsing function call.

could someone please help give me some pointers on what i did wrong in writing my script.

Your while should read

While 1

<statements>

You dont need while 1=1. The logic of your bot is basically looping infinitely and moving the mouse to those coordinates forever every 10 seconds, and then clicking. Is this what you want it to do?

While 1 is the same as While 1=1 or While "a" = "a". You just need an expression that returns True.

You have to remove the brackets from

MouseMove ( 474, 824 [, 10] )
Brackets denote optional parameters.

I wouldn't use MouseMove and MouseClick statements. This gives unreliable scripts because they depend on screen resolution and window positions.

To automate FireFox use the FireFox UDF.

Botman,

So from my first post I had not read the rules too attentively and realized i had posted something against the rules

And you still have not read them properly - you seem to have missed the bit that says:

"Do not repost the same question if the previous thread has been locked - particularly if you merely reword the question to get around one of the prohibitions listed above"

And before you argue that your first thread had not been locked at that point, it was obvious that it would be as soon as we got around to it.

You can use AutoIt for many more things than game-bots and I suggest that you think of doing that, because any further infringements of the rules on your part will result in sanctions. :naughty:
