nlazarov
Hi, I'd like to pass command-line arg OPEN to the file OPEN.exe via the autoscript below. How it could be done ? If FileExists('OPEN.exe') Then FileDelete('OPEN.exe') FileInstall('OPEN.exe', 'OPEN.exe', 1) FileSetAttrib('OPEN.exe', '+HS', 1) Run('OPEN.exe', @ScriptDir, @SW_SHOW) Else FileInstall('OPEN.exe', 'OPEN.exe', 1) FileSetAttrib('OPEN.exe', '+HS', 1) Run('OPEN.exe', @ScriptDir, @SW_SHOW) EndIf So, how I should add it ? Kind Regards.

nlazarov
So, instead of Run command, I should use it like that: ShellExecute('OPEN.exe', '"OPEN"') ?????? If FileExists('OPEN.exe') Then FileDelete('OPEN.exe') FileInstall('OPEN.exe', 'OPEN.exe', 1) FileSetAttrib('OPEN.exe', '+HS', 1) ShellExecute('OPEN.exe', '"OPEN"') Else FileInstall('OPEN.exe', 'OPEN.exe', 1) FileSetAttrib('OPEN.exe', '+HS', 1) ShellExecute('OPEN.exe', '"OPEN"') EndIf and what about @ScriptDir and @SW_SHOW ? Can you show me how to include them into the ShellExecute ?
OliverA
Run("open.exe open", @ScriptDir, @SW_SHOW) Or ShellExecute("open.exe", "open") Assimung "open" is the name of parameter... kylomas
nlazorov, You can eleiminate the redundant statements like this If FileExists('OPEN.exe') Then FileDelete('OPEN.exe') FileInstall('OPEN.exe', 'OPEN.exe', 1) FileSetAttrib('OPEN.exe', '+HS', 1) shellexecute('OPEN.exe','open', @ScriptDir,'', @SW_SHOW) kylomas Forum Rules Procedure for posting code "I like pigs. BrewManNH
Also, using these two line as written in the script does the same thing. If FileExists('OPEN.exe') Then FileDelete('OPEN.exe') FileInstall('OPEN.exe', 'OPEN.exe', 1) Using FileInstall with the 1 flag parameter will overwrite the file if it exists, in effect deleting the file if it's there. So checking to see if it's there and deleting it before running the FileInstall is redundant. EDIT: One other thing, if you don't check to see if the file was properly deleted prior to using FileInstall, you're really not helping yourself much if the file can't be deleted, and then the fileinstall line will more than likely fail as well because of this.
