Okay so im having issues whenever i try and scan a large amount of text using the "unknown function" checker that i had asked about earlier.

Whenever i try and check a large amount of text i get this error

this is the code that the error is coming from. Im guesing its because of the "subscript dimension range exceeded"

You should be checking the @error returned by the StringRegExp function before trying to access the array. You're getting the error, more than likely, because the function doesn't find what you're looking for.

not possible if i type just "tony" it finds nothing, yet still no error.

What could cause this error?

What's the contents of $ga_Funcs just before it errors?

What's the value of $i when it errors?

If the first condition is positive and runs _ArrayDelete($ga_Funcs, $i), then $ga_Funcs[$i] doesn't exist any more

So if the second condition is positive too, guess what ?

Try this

$ga_Funcs = StringRegExp(_GUICtrlRichEdit_GetText( $edit ), "(?is)(?:::|thread\s+)(\w+)", 3)
For $i = UBound($ga_Funcs)-1 to 0 step -1

I also forgot to mention, this line is written totally wrong, I'm surprised the script runs at all.

; should be written like this
For $i = UBound($ga_Funcs)-1 to 0 step -1

Sorry for not replying sooner, but it fixed the issue.

BTW is there anyway to bypass the 35000 charector limit for richedit.

I was editing something only to find that half of it got cut off

Always worth having a look in the Help file first, where _GUICtrlRichEdit_SetLimitOnText jumped out as the likely solution.
