Copy/Paste code from forum leads to unexpected result

Hi ppl, im having this weird problem, do you also have it?

the thing is: whenever i copy-paste code that is not in a popup, it becomes a big line, example:

If $x < 10 Then
FileMove($Directory & "\" & $files[$x], $Directory & "\" & $filename & "r0" & $x)
Else
FileMove($Directory & "\" & $files[$x], $Directory & "\" & $filename & "r" & $x)
EndIf
Next

It's like the Line carriages are deleted.. and it becomes:

If $x < 10 Then FileMove($Directory & "\" & $files[$x], $Directory & "\" & $filename & "r0" & $x) Else FileMove($Directory & "\" & $files[$x], $Directory & "\" & $filename & "r" & $x) EndIf Next

This was since the last forum update.

: What do you think could be? Just tried to copy my own post, and it became a line once i pasted in scite, or notepad, or notepad++, or a word file, or whatever, so it means its a problem when copying..

EDIT: Used a simple app i did that stays in the tray and shows in the form of a traytip, the text copied or pasted, and it shows a bunch of text that is not ordered in any way, i really do think this is something to do with the forum, and firefox maybe.

It always has been like this here. The solution I've found is to copy everything except the last charackter

It must be browser/machine-related - I have never had that problem since I have been here.

I have seen the same behaviour running the latest FireFox on Windows 7 and Linux (Ubuntu).

I had it as well in Firefox when merging 2 posts, it would totally remove crlf's and put all previous posted code on one line.

Maybe. I'm using Firefox 19.0.2 + W7 SP1.

I got firefox 20.0.1 and i confirm that when i copy with IE, it works normally, seems to be firefox related, gonna investigate.

EDIT: Firefox v21.0 does the same thing, posted this problem in bugzilla, Meanwhile, it would be nice to have the button popup,

above all code frames, because when i copy from within the popup, it works fine.

It does when the code is 22+ lines.

If it's a bug in Firefox, then I don't think it's down to Jon to to provide a workaround for a browser that is...sorry I'm an Opera user so I have a dislike for Firefox.

I confirm the strange behaviour when copying&pasting from firefox, but all ok when doing it from iexplorer

(Win XP sp3 & firefox 20.0.1)

by running this little script, i have seen that when copying from firefox, the clipboard content (before pasting) is missing all the cr & lf:
to test do like this:

1) select a script from a code box and copy it (and do not paste)
2) run this code from scite:

you will see that not LF nor CR are present in the clipboard.

repeat steps 1) and 2) within iexplorer to see that all LF and CR are presents.

Is interesting the solution (workaround) of hiho from post #4

in fact repeating steps above 1) and 2) within firefox by copying all listing but not the last character, all the CR & LF are all in place.
