Excel - check if value is below 0

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, can someone have a quick look and see if they can spot why this statement is not working for me?

The function works, but the if statement to ensure the value is not below 0 does not.

Case $Button4
                        If GuiCtrlRead($input5) = "" Then
                           MsgBox(0, "Error", "Input box empty")
                        Else
                           If GUICtrlRead($Quantity - (GUICtrlRead($Input5)) > 0) Then
MsgBox(0, "Error", "You can't have negative stock!")
                           Else
                              $RemoveStock = ($Quantity - GUICtrlRead($Input5))
                              _ExcelWriteCell($datasheet, $RemoveStock, $iIndex, 3)
                              $input = GUICtrlRead($Input1)
                              $iIndex = _ArraySearch($aArray, $input, "", "", "", "", 0, $sColumn)
                              $Quantity = _ExcelReadCell($datasheet, $iIndex, 3)
                              GUICtrlSetData($Stock_Quantity, $Quantity)
                              GUICtrlSetData($Input5, "")
                           EndIf
                        EndIf

Values returned by GUICtrlRead are strings. You need to convert the string to a number:

If Number(GUICtrlRead($Quantity)) - Number(GUICtrlRead($Input5)) > 0 Then
